Developing Future Leadership Capability

The Executive Collaborative is a Baldrige-aligned approach to develop and prepare current and future leaders within your organization. This immersion program provides you with a unique opportunity to develop leaders within the framework of the Performance Excellence principles to improve your organization’s performance. This program was collaboratively created using best practices from Baldrige National Program.

A Unique Learning Experience Designed for Executive Needs:

  • The EC program begins at the 2020 Symposium and ends at the 2021 Symposium (cost of Symposium registration included)
  • One 2-day site visit to a Baldrige recipient organization to immerse leaders in a world-class culture of performance excellence (site visit transportation & hotel not included)
  • Eight monthly virtual sessions from September 2020-September 2021 (Dates TBD August; all sessions included)
  • Detailed learning from recognized world-class organizations and regional best practices; personal “how to” interactions
  • Individualized learning objectives with coaching support from PENW Executive Director
  • Building relationships with other executives; cohorts become “teams” that often lean on each other outside of sessions, during and after the course is completed
  • Execute an organizational improvement project based on the needs of their organization
  • Share learning between organizations and work with other leaders facing similar challenges

Executive Collaborative project requirements:

  • Define individual learning objectives
  • Assess organizational challenges or advantages to identify a meaningful project opportunity
  • Define scope, project goals and objectives
  • Identify current state, future state and aligned best practices from national and regional research
  • Develop project plans and timeline for completion within 3-6 months
  • Execute project and perform quantitative and qualitative analysis
  • Produce a written summary of key learning
  • Deliver a brief presentation within the organization and to other Executive Collaborative participants
  • Share learning and next steps at 2021 PENW Symposium

Individual Project Coaching:

  • Active use of systems thinking on a strategic executive-level project
  • Achieve results and learning that exceed the value of the course
  • Build leadership competency and capability
  • Support and develop current and future leaders (career laddering and succession planning)
  • Deeper understanding of effective leadership behaviors and strategies
  • Understand tools that build and support a culture of improvement

2020-2021 Executive Collaborative Pricing

The PENW Executive Collaborative has been designed to provide executives in the Pacific Northwest with immersion and access with Baldrige recipients and networking opportunities for professional and organizational development within the four-state region. Pricing is based on a sliding-scale using revenues to allow organizations of all sizes to opportunity to participate.
